New paintings I made out of inspiration from a video game series I've played. Dragon Age: Origins, the first of the series... I had created a Dalish Elf that is a rogue. Her name is Var'Vhenan Mahariel. She loves her people and her culture. Poisoned by the Taint she had to pulled away from her home to become a Grey Warden, the only way known to cure the Taint. Becoming a Grey Warden, she took on the weight of the world. Uniting a divided country and leading a great army to defeat the Fifth Blight before it would take over the world. Surviving the final battle, she was celebrated as a hero. Titled "The Hero of Ferelden." A day after her celebrations, she would leave Denerim (capital of Ferelden) in the night along with her beloved. She became known as the Lost Warden.
With this painting, I've been playing with lighting again. I think I had it the first time, but then suddenly my program for painting crashed and it had been a while since I last saved my progress. Frustrated, I took a break from painting for a bit. Came back to return to this... though I think my lighting is a bit better than the last time I tried. This took me sooooo long to finish, but I'm proud of it. I think I'm getting better. Slowly.
